Quick programming note.
This is extremely humiliating for me, but desperate times call for desperate measures.
After my month long stay in the hospital back in November, my family and I acquired a whole lot of bills. Even more bills, because I'm on 9 different medications and the costs of those medications are torture. One medication costs us $305.00. Another medication costs us $180.00. Even the shots I inject myself with cost major dough. We keep getting bills from the hospital, thousands of dollars we owe from hospitalization, from the night I had heart failure, and the after care recovery and rehabilitation.
Me and my family are thousands of dollars in debt. My parents had to go as far as to pawn off jewelry just to pay off a $300 bill from the hospital. An emergency ride in an ambulance costs $300!
On top of that, I am trying to earn my degree at Drexel University. Not only do I have loans, but I pay for most of schooling out of pocket. Books can cost up to $250.00 (just for one book!). As I also attend school, I work two jobs. They don't pay much because I don't have the ability to work long hours. I also had a third job in the makeup industry, which paid extremely well, but I've been unable to take jobs since my relapse in November -- my hands continue to spasm and shake. And I was already fired from another job because of my MS.
My father is 71 years old and is also disabled. He is in need for back surgery, surgery we can't even afford. He should be retired, but he works a retail job just to get us by. And even though my mother is the bread-winner of the household, my parents barely have money left to pay for their own mortgages because we are paying off creditors due to my medical bills.
Please help. Our family is in total devastation because of my illness.
All donations would go directly to paying for medical bills. Thank you!
